The Nenita is basically a large house boat that is equipped for keeping fish alive as well as us comfortable. The boat had modest accommodations, but the crew has kept it in good condition and very clean. I was completely comfortable here, and it quickly became home for me. We are going to try uploading the video tour next.
Eric, the pictures are GREAT! The blog is really, really cool. Did you catch some big fish on the pole?
I would say the largest fish I caught was a Black Belly Pirahna that was maybe about a foot long. The tricky part with catching piranha is when to set the hook. They are very skilled at stealing the bait off the hook. As soon as I felt a strike, I had to pull hard and hope I got lucky with setting the hook. There were several times when they were only holding onto the bait and going for a ride until they broke the surface of the water, and then let go. I’ll put together a post of the fish I caught, and the bent wire leader and bifurcated lure.
